Please note that you need to complete and sign two (2) copies of the visa application and form and all other submitted documents with two (2) recent coloured passport photos with white background. Photos with coloured backgrounds will not be accepted.
All the applications must be lodged individually and only the person who is applying can come to the pre-scheduled appointment.
Please note that every application must be accompanied with a prepaid courier envelope (FedEx, UPS or DHL) for the return of the documents after processing is finished.
Visa processing takes 15 calendar days from the day of submission. (Please note this when booking for your appointment.) This period can be extended up to 30 calendar days in individual cases, notably when further scrutiny of the application is needed, or in cases of representation (applications to Iceland for example). Exceptionally, when additional documentation is needed in specific cases, the period may be extended up to a maximum of 60 calendar days. (For example, when the embassy forwards your application to the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI), processing can take up to 60 calendar days).
In cases the Embassy refuses the application, the applicant can appeal the decision within 3 weeks of receiving the refusal. Appeal is to be submitted to the embassy and it will be processed at the embassy or UDI in Norway. If a decision by UDI is appealed, the case will be submitted to the Immigration Appeals Board (UNE). Information on how to appeal is attached to the refusal letter. Applicant should wait to receive the refusal letter before lodging the appeal.
