- Fully completed and signed application form in block letters, signed by the applicant. In the case of minors signed by the guardian at the relevant section of the application form.
- Two (2) recent passport photographs taken against white background. Please write your name behind the photos. Photograph should be of good quality and 35 X 40mm.
- Non refundable application fee of 12,500 Nigerian Naira. Fee is payable in cash at the embassy in N500 and N1000 denominations only.
- Valid passport together with a photocopy of the data page and all pages endorsed with previous visas. Validity of the travel document has to extend at least 3 months after the intended date of departure from Schengen area. Passport has to contain at least two (2) bland pages and it shall have been issued within the previous ten (10) years.
- Previous passports, if any.
- Evidence of sufficient means to cover all the expenses during the stay in the Schengen state.
- Original, up to date bank statements of the past three (3) months.
- In the case of sponsorship embassy would require a letter of introduction of sponsor and a copy of the sponsor’s passport. In the case of a local sponsor embassy would require that persons bank statements from the last three (3) months.
- Copy of the flight reservation. (It is not necessary to purchase the flight before you are notified that your visa will be granted).
- Travel insurance covering the proposed stay throughout the Schengen territory. Insurance valid for a Schengen visa has to cover expenses caused by illness, accident, medical care and a possible repatriation up to 30 000 EUR. Insurance has to cover the applicant for the duration of the journey and has to match the date in the ticket accurately. In the case of multiple entry visas, insurance needs to cover the first intended stay. Please remember to acknowledge the relevant part in the application form

Incomplete application will be rejected.
Application forms not entirely filled in will be rejected. It is important that the applicant is to provide all the documents together with his/her application form.
Documents (invitations etc) should not be sent directly to the embassy. It is the responsibility of the applicant to provide ALL the supporting documents.
