The visa section is open for applicants with scheduled appointments from Monday –Thursday between 10 am – 12.30 pm.
Visa enquiries by telephone are only attended between 1.30 pm – 3 pm.

Visa enquiries by e-mail can be forwarded to visa.abuja@mfa.no. E-mail enquiries are attended every day.
To submit visa application/application for residence permit, you must schedule an appointment with us by sending an email to: visa.abuja@mfa.no. Please note that appointments cannot be scheduled by telephone.
Embassy of Norway in Abuja Nigeria handles visa applications to Norway and Iceland. If you are planning to visit any other Schengen country please contact the relevant embassies for your requests.
Embassy of Norway receives visa/residence permit applications from Togo, Benin and Cameroon. In these countries the applications has to be submitted to one of the representing Norwegian consulates.
Processing time:
You should apply as early as possible, but not more than 3 month before departure. When you are ready with your application make sure you contact the visa section by e-mail (visa.abuja@mfa.no) to schedule your appointment. As a general rule we will try to issue you an appointment within 2 weeks of you requesting it. Please note that during summer months the visa section is experiencing a high number of applications and we have very limited availability for appointments, therefore we would like for you to request for an appointment as early as possible to avoid disappointment
When submitting the request for an appointment please make sure that you allow 15 calendar days for the processing of the visa from the day of submission. Requests with less time than this cannot be accommodated by the embassy.
